MMRDA invites bid to procure monorail coaches from Indian companies
Mumbai ( Metro Rail News ) – The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority ( MMRDA ) has invited an e-tender for Monorail – Project Implementation Unit. The bid includes design, manufacture, supply, testing and commissioning of 10 monorail trains along with four sets of coaches for each. It also includes training of personnel for the Mumbai Monorail Project.
The bid which was announced on today is being seen as a major initiative in way forward for Monorail Project Development in Mumbai. The estimated cost of the bid is Rs 545 crores with the deadline being 5th October till 3:00 PM. The cost of the bid document is kept at RS 11800. The Chief Operating Officer of the Monorail is the nodal authoity for issues related to the bid.
